Etib @ MeshCon Festival Berlin 10-15th oct 2014

Etib will also be present at the MeshCon which is taking place from the 10 to 15th october parallel to the Wear it.

We will be joining Ayab for their demo/workshop of the hack on sat 10am at the TU Berlin and will be opening our studio for everyone on the 15th at 4pm.

International conference for digital textile creatives, 10th-15th October, Berlin

For the first time MeshCon takes place in Berlin. Fashion designers, software companies, knitting enthusiasts, textile makers and representatives from the textile industry will get together.

Mario Behling, organizer of the Meshcon 14, is enthusiastic: “As a matter of course the Electronic & Textile Institute Berlin (ETIB) became our partner. I’m looking forward to October 15. Fashion designer Victoria Pawlik from ETIB will show us their Berlin textile makerspace and, together with Jessie English, introduce us to their knitting machines.”

Over 23 speakers from 12 countries present lectures and workshops at MeshCon. The conference is about solutions for reaping the benefit for local and fair textile production based on software apps, automated textile machinery, and creativity. Participants will learn about developments of Fashion technology and get in touch with software developers. The Mozilla Community contributes a Hackathon on fashion apps. FashionTec startups make on-site contacts and launch their latest solutions.

Treffen der digitalen Textilkreativen aus aller Welt vom 10.-15. Oktober in Berlin

Die MeshCon kommt jetzt im Oktober zum ersten Mal nach Berlin. Sie bringt Modemacher, Software-Schmieden, Strickenthusiasten, Textil-Maker und die Vertreter aus der Textilwirtschaft an einen Tisch.

Mario Behling, Organisator der Meshcon 14, ist begeistert: “Das Electronic & Textile Institute Berlin (ETIB) ist natürlich als Veranstaltungspartner dabei. Ich freu mich auf den 15. Oktober. Die Modedesignerin Victoria Pawlik vom ETIB stellt den hippen Berliner Textil-Maker-Space vor und führt gemeinsam mit Jessie English in die FashionTec Möglichkeiten von Strickmaschinen ein.”

Über 23 Beitragende aus 12 Ländern haben Vorträge und Workshops zur MeshCon angesagt. Auf der MeshCon geht es um Lösungen für eine lokale und faire Textilproduktion auf Basis von Software-Apps, automatisierten Textil-Maschinen, und kreativen Köpfen. Die Teilnehmer werden sich über Entwicklungen der Modetechnik informieren und mit den Software-Entwicklern in persönlichen Kontakt kommen. Die Mozilla Community macht einen Hackathon zu Mode-Apps. FashionTec-Startups knüpfen vor Ort Kontakte und stellen neue Lösungen vor.
